For as long as I can remember I have been interested in the way light and perspective can completely alter how we perceive our environment both physically and emotionally. My grandma would often say, "It's a miserable day", when it was dull cloudy rainy day. As a child this perplexed me not least because without rain we could never experience the excitement of rainbows!

Sometimes I daydream about being a professional photographer who travels the world visiting stunning places of natural beauty. Whether or not I am talented enough is irrelevant since travelling often triggers migraine attacks!

My aim while holding a camera is to take advantage of the light and shapes I see around me in order to capture the essence of a moment in time. The beauty of the natural world is, and has always been, my inspiration. I am particularly drawn to photographing sunsets, butterflies, and flowing water.
